Frequently asked questions

Important details about how the calculators work, how dates are interpreted, and when to verify results.

What tools are available in Amu Elite Resources?

The library combines Afghan date conversion, age and interval calculations, printable calendar views, CSV conversion, and Afghan tax estimators.

Is the Afghan Date Converter free?

Yes. The converter and the other published resource tools can be used without registration or a subscription.

Can I convert between Shamsi and Gregorian dates?

Yes. Choose either Afghan Shamsi or Gregorian as the source calendar and the converter calculates corresponding dates.

Does the converter also display Islamic Hijri dates?

Yes. It supports calculated Islamic Hijri methods with disclosure that an officially observed lunar date can differ.

What is the difference between Afghan Shamsi and Persian Solar Hijri?

They share a Solar Hijri calendar convention. Afghan month names and regional terminology differ from some Iranian labels.

How does the tool decide which day is today?

The Today control uses the Asia/Kabul timezone rather than relying on the visitor’s local timezone setting.

What date range does the converter support?

The currently supported Gregorian range extends from 1 January 1900 through 31 December 2100.

Can I use the age calculator for an earlier comparison date?

Yes. The age tool accepts a date of birth and a selected comparison date within the supported range.

Does the date difference calculator include both endpoints?

Its total-days measurement represents elapsed days between the dates, not a count that includes both endpoints.

Can I print the Afghan Shamsi calendar?

Yes. The calendar tool provides monthly and yearly views and a print-friendly layout.

Does the converter display Julian and Hebrew calendar equivalents?

The advanced results panel provides civil Julian and browser-derived Hebrew calendar equivalents in addition to the primary calendars.

Can I convert a CSV file from Excel?

Yes. Export the spreadsheet as CSV, then use the Bulk Date Converter. Native XLSX parsing is not included in this release.

Are my dates and salary details stored on the website?

The published calculators run in the browser and do not send entered calculation values to the WordPress server.

Can I use the tax tools on Android phones?

Yes. All available tax tools have responsive forms designed for modern mobile browsers.

Which Afghan tax types are included?

Current tools cover salary, rental, contractor, BRT, annual individual, corporate, property transfer, selected fuel trading, and qualifying small-trader fixed tax.

What tax rules are used for July 2026?

The calculators offer a separate July 2026 reform profile alongside historical published schedules where comparable rules have been documented.

Can I automatically apply the new rules to an older filing?

No. Transitional guidance may depend on finalization or assessment timing. Users should confirm the legally applicable rule version.

Why does Business Receipts Tax require a category choice?

Published rate references differ by sector and taxpayer status. The calculator requires an explicit applicable-rate choice instead of silently assigning a universal rate.

Does the salary calculator support gross-to-net conversion?

Yes. It provides both gross-to-net tax estimates and an inverse net-to-gross calculation.

Can I download a tax calculation?

Yes. Tax estimates can be exported as a CSV summary or printed for reference.

Are these calculators official government services?

No. They are general informational estimates. Legal eligibility, exemptions, penalties and final filing obligations require verification.

Where can I check Afghan tax law and guidance?

Use the Ministry of Finance and Afghanistan Revenue Department publications and obtain qualified advice for legal tax assessments.

Choose the right tool for an Afghan date or tax task

Working with Afghan documents and dates

Use the Afghan Date Converter when a Shamsi date needs a Gregorian or calculated Hijri equivalent. If your main question is a person's completed age or the interval between two dates, choose the Age Calculator or Date Difference Calculator. The monthly Afghan Calendar is useful for planning schedules; the bulk converter suits CSV-based records.

Checking Afghan tax estimates

Begin with the tax calculator directory and choose the category that matches your transaction. Payroll withholding, rental withholding, contractor payments, Business Receipts Tax and corporate profits have different tax bases. The July 2026 changes affected several categories, but not every historic obligation. Retain your income period, classification, source records and selected rate with each estimate.

Coordinating time and official information

Use the Kabul Time Zone Converter when communicating meeting times across Afghanistan and another country; include both cities and the relevant date to account for overseas daylight-saving rules. Calendar and tax results are aids for checking figures, not official certificates or tax assessments. Verify binding deadlines, religious dates and filing requirements with the relevant issuing authority.

All listed tools can be opened in a browser without purchasing software. Calculated Hijri dates may not match official local moon-sighting decisions. Tax rates and exemptions should be verified against the period and taxpayer classification.
