About this bulk date converter
Convert many Shamsi, Gregorian or calculated Hijri dates in one operation. Paste date lists or choose a CSV file, then export spreadsheet-ready results. Use the calendar selector to choose your input system, enter an actual date and view or export the results. The toolkit is optimized for modern browsers and supported Gregorian dates from 1900 to 2100.
The Afghan Shamsi calendar uses the Persian Solar Hijri convention and native Afghan month names. Islamic Hijri results are calculated rather than official moon-sighting announcements. If you need a legal or religiously authoritative date, verify it with the issuing authority.
Practical guidance and examples
Convert a date list without retyping each row
Use the bulk tool when an existing spreadsheet contains many dates in one calendar and you need equivalent Shamsi, Gregorian or calculated Hijri dates. Start with a small sample of genuine records to confirm the input format, calendar choice and day-month ordering. Then paste the remaining dates or supply a CSV exported from your spreadsheet.
Prepare and review a CSV file
Keep a copy of your original data. Export spreadsheets as CSV rather than uploading an XLSX workbook, check the first and final rows after processing, and verify invalid or missing dates before copying the converted values back into your file. Keep identifiers alongside dates in your working spreadsheet so results cannot be assigned to the wrong record.
Privacy and operational boundaries
Date files are processed in the browser rather than submitted to the site's server by the converter. The interface has a batch-size limit and may flag malformed dates; split larger datasets if necessary. For payroll, procurement or immigration records, audit a sample of conversions and retain the original file for traceability.

Frequently asked questions
How many dates can I convert at once?
The default limit is 2,000 rows per operation, configurable by the site administrator.
Can I upload an Excel workbook?
Use a CSV file exported from Excel. Direct XLSX workbook parsing is not included in this release.
Are CSV files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are read and converted in your browser.
Which formats can I enter?
The tool supports YYYY-MM-DD and DD/MM/YYYY source-date formats, selected before processing.
Can I download the results?
Yes. Results download as a CSV file compatible with common spreadsheet applications.
What happens to an invalid row?
The downloadable file includes an error value for the affected row without discarding the rest.
What is the maximum batch size?
The default setting is 2,000 data rows per operation and the WordPress administrator may configure a different limit up to 5,000.
What is the maximum CSV file size?
The browser-based importer currently accepts up to 1 MB per file.
Can I upload an XLSX workbook directly?
No. Export the worksheet to CSV in Excel or a compatible application before using the tool.
Which input column is converted?
The first CSV column is read as the date source. Export a dedicated date column for predictable results.
Can I process dates in YYYY-MM-DD format?
Yes. Choose that input format and enter dates such as 1405-08-09.
What if the source dates use DD/MM/YYYY?
Select the corresponding format before running the conversion so the day and month are interpreted correctly.
Can I paste dates instead of uploading a file?
Yes. Paste one date on each line or use standard CSV text in the input area.
What happens to invalid date entries?
Invalid rows remain in the output with an error message; other valid rows continue to convert.
Can the tool convert Shamsi to both Gregorian and Hijri in one operation?
Yes. The output includes Afghan Shamsi, Gregorian and calculated Hijri columns.
Will a CSV header row be treated as a date?
The importer recognizes a first-column date header using common header text and excludes it from the data rows.
Does the exported CSV work with Excel?
It includes UTF-8 encoding compatible with common spreadsheet applications, though regional import settings can affect separators.
Are blank lines included in the output?
Completely empty rows are skipped; keep date data in the first column.
Are my uploaded date lists stored by Amu Elite?
No. The file is read and processed locally in the browser rather than uploaded to WordPress.
Can I batch-convert official religious observation dates?
The Hijri output is algorithmic. For official religious dates, use the relevant authority's locally observed calendar.
